Scott A. Cannon

Scott A. Cannon was born in New Orleans and raised in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of New Orleans in 1989 and his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 1994. While at Loyola, Scott A. Cannon was on the Law Review, where he had both his Casenote and Comment published in the Loyola Law Review. Mr. Cannon also competed on the National Moot Court Team, and he was honored as “Best Oralist” in the Tulane Sports Law Moot Court Invitational Competition in 1993.

Scott A. Cannon is an experienced litigator, who, after ten years of practice with private law firms handling primarily insurance defense and coverage cases, opened the Law Offices of Scott A. Cannon, LLC. in 2005, in St. Bernard Parish. After Hurricane Katrina, Mr. Cannon relocated his law office to Slidell, Louisiana. Mr. Cannon represents professional and individual clients on a wide range of matters including insurance and casualty defense, property damage/loss, insurance coverage opinions, insurance fraud, medical malpractice, commercial litigation and personal injury claims. Mr. Cannon handles all aspects of litigation, including pre-suit resolution, trials, mediations and appeals. Mr. Cannon has tried numerous judge and jury trials in multiple venues to verdict. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, 34th JDC Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, 22nd JDC Bar Association, Slidell Bar Association and Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.

 

Shannon Livermore

Shannon Livermore graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Political Science from Loyola University New Orleans in 2005. Ms. Livermore joined the Law Offices of Scott A. Cannon in 2005 as a legal assistant. She began law school at Loyola Law School in New Orleans in 2006 while continuing to work with the firm. Ms. Livermore received her J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2010. While at Loyola, Ms. Livermore was an active member in Loyola’s Trial Advocacy program where she competed in mock trial competitions throughout the country. She received the Dean’s Merit Scholarship for outstanding organization and participation in Trial Advocacy.

Ms. Livermore represents both professional and individual clients on matters ranging from insurance/casualty defense, medical malpractice and personal injury through trial and appeal. Ms. Livermore is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, the 22nd JDC Bar Association, and the 34th JDC Bar Association. She is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Louisiana as well as the United States Court of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit. Ms. Livermore is also a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.
