Scott A. Cannon
Scott A. Cannon was born in New Orleans and raised in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of New Orleans in 1989 and his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 1994. While at Loyola, Scott A. Cannon was on the Law Review, where he had both his Casenote and Comment published in the Loyola Law Review. Mr. Cannon also competed on the National Moot Court Team, and he was honored as “Best Oralist” in the Tulane Sports Law Moot Court Invitational Competition in 1993.
Scott A. Cannon is an experienced litigator, who, after ten years of practice with private law firms handling primarily insurance defense and coverage cases, opened the Law Offices of Scott A. Cannon, LLC. in 2005, in St. Bernard Parish. After Hurricane Katrina, Mr. Cannon relocated his law office to Slidell, Louisiana. Mr. Cannon has been a litigation attorney for 25 years and represents professional and individual clients on a wide range of matters including insurance and casualty defense, property damage/loss, insurance coverage opinions, insurance fraud, commercial litigation and personal injury claims. Mr. Cannon handles all aspects of litigation, including pre-suit resolution, trials, mediations and appeals. Mr. Cannon has tried numerous judge and jury trials in multiple venues to verdict. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, 34th JDC Bar Association, New Orleans Bar Association, 22nd JDC Bar Association, Slidell Bar Association and Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.
In 2019, Mr. Cannon and Ms. Livermore partnered and opened Cannon & Livermore, LLC.
